What to check yourself
- Ask for a paid trial day and walk through the house together first.
- Agree which rooms are off limits and how valuables and keys are handled.
- Show how you want delicate surfaces, fabrics and appliances cleaned.
What to put in your job post
- The size of the house: bedrooms, bathrooms and floors
- Live-in or live-out, and which days
- Whether laundry and ironing are included
- Anything special, such as pets, elderly relatives or a home office
- The monthly salary you are offering: at least ₦85,000 for a live-in job or ₦120,000 for a live-out job
